CBM Intern – One Goal

By CBM National intern,  Andrew Willis -  After returning from Moldova, I found out that I was bound for Camp Grace in NC for my second rotation. I was there for two weeks helping John Martens, who is now a good friend of mine, work maintenance. After the two weeks, we headed for CBM’s National Conference in Pennsylvania, where the National Interns got to run the kids’ programs for the CBM Full-Time Missionaries. It was a lot of fun and I got to meet most of the CBM missionaries from all of the different camps. It felt like one big family reunion and everyone was happy to be there. After the weekend at National Conference, I returned to ...

CBM intern – How God Will Use My Past Experiences for His Glory?

By CBM National intern, Andrew Willis - I'm one who loves to dwell on the past and my memories, but sometimes I wonder how God will use some of my past experiences for His glory. I left off my last blog with hopes of going to a friend's wedding. Soon after that, I found out that my CBM National Intern Coordinator had talked to the camp director at Camp Gilead (my summer rotation) and I would be able to go. I thought I would be going as a guest, with no stress or responsibilities, and I was ready to embrace a peaceful evening of relaxation...I was wrong. I got there 2 hours early and Katie's mom (Leslie) asked if I minded helping ...

CBM National Intern-God’s Perfect Timing

By CBM National intern, Andrew Willis -  My first rotation as a CBM National Intern is to Camp Gilead in Polk City, Florida! I'm excited for many reasons. For one, I'm fond of my childhood memories and I love spending time reminiscing. I spent my childhood in Dade City, FL, only an hour from Camp Gilead. Of course, going back to Florida for sentimental reasons is just a bonus. Gilead was one of the camps which I was interested in going to on rotation. My interest was really piqued when I heard about their ministry using animals and how they tie the gospel into God’s creation. I also was interested in the many other outdoor ministries ...

Fellowshipping and Worshipping Servants

By CBM National interns, Scott and Jerri Carpenter -  In the little amount of time we have been on rotation as CBM National Interns at Cornerstone Ministry Center in Southwest PA, we have definitely experienced fellowship and worship. Our first week here we had a work team. The best part about this team was simply that it was truly a team. No one was given a task by themselves. The goal was not only to complete projects and tasks around camp, but to fellowship and worship together through each of these projects and tasks. We worked together, ate together, planned together, and worshipped together. The bond that was created through the team ...

Taking A Step Of Faith

By CBM National intern, Devyn Polk -  Faith - strong belief or trust in someone or something. "For we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7  Taking a step of faith can be nerve-racking. When I applied for the CBM National Internship, I took a step of faith. I wasn't sure what I'd be doing or where I'd go. "Putting our faith into action is all about taking the first step on an uncertain journey. As others who have made this journey will tell us, it's not the actual going that is difficult. It is 'going without knowing' that is a bit unnerving. There are no maps on the journey of faith. We navigate by the starlight of ...
