Taking A Step Of Faith
By CBM National intern, Devyn Polk –
Faith – strong belief or trust in someone or something.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
2 Corinthians 5:7
Taking a step of faith can be nerve-racking. When I applied for the CBM National Internship, I took a step of faith. I wasn’t sure what I’d be doing or where I’d go.
“Putting our faith into action is all about taking the first step on an uncertain journey. As others who have made this journey will tell us, it’s not the actual going that is difficult. It is ‘going without knowing’ that is a bit unnerving. There are no maps on the journey of faith. We navigate by the starlight of God’s provision. It’s an off-road adventure that leads us to places we cannot see from the main highway of life.”
Extreme Devotion
Looking back at the last four months here at CBM Head Quarters, it’s amazing to see where God’s brought me and how He’s grown me. I have done things that I never thought I’d do. I have been stretched out of my comfort zone plenty of times, but it has helped me and made me more confident in what I’m doing. Even with my fundraising for our Moldova Mission trip, I started to have faith that God would provide, and He did!!!! As I write this, I look forward to seeing what God has in store for this summer!
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1
When you put your faith in Him, amazing things happen! Things you never thought could happen!
“For with God, nothing will be impossible.”
Luke 1:37
