5 Things to do in the Waiting

Written by Jaelynn Woullard   You might be wondering what type of waiting we are talking about. Are you waiting in line for a ride at Disney? Waiting in the line to check out at the grocery store? Waiting to hear from a friend? Waiting in the Chick-Fil-A drive-thru for your 12-count chicken nuggets and medium fries with Chick-Fil-A sauce? There are so many different things that we wait for daily that we usually try to get through quickly. But what can you do when you are waiting on God? I am going to tell you about 5 things that I often do when I am in a period of waiting for God.    Remember that God is in control. ...

His Purposes are Great and His Ways Unexpected

By Jaelynn Woullard, Team #11 During high school, I was in the medical academy. I thought that it was the field that I wanted to go into as a career and that I was going to be a nurse. During my senior year I took 2 classes that had to do with the medical field: EKG Technician and Home Health Aid/Phlebotomy. I enjoyed being in those classes and learning more about the medical field. Originally, after I graduated in 2018, I thought that I was going to go straight into the Army and thought that I would like to do that. But I was taking a prescription for migraines and they said that I would have to be off the medication for a year before I could ...

Levels of Flexibility

By Erin Miller, Team #11 For me, being flexible is very important. I didn’t realize it until recently but I am constantly needing to be flexible. I am not talking about when you exercise. I am talking about when your plans change without warning and you have roll with it. It is just part of being flexible.  I know different people react differently in their ability to be ...

In All Things, Trust God

By Gracie Kinsey God is good, all the time, and all the time God is good. My name is Gracie Kinsey and I am an intern with Children’s Bible Ministries in Townsend, TN. I am going to share with you today the ways that God has been faithful and sovereign in guiding me to the CBM internship program.  In the summer of 2014, my close friend, named Ashlee, invited me to a summer camp called Camp Gilead in Polk City, Florida. I didn’t know it at the time but Camp Gilead is currently one of many CBM camps. Timidly, but willingly, I accepted her invitation and had one of the best weeks of my life as a camper at Gilead. I was grateful that ...

4 Things I Learned at Released Time

By Katlyn Carney 1. I love teaching children.  For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved teaching. I used to play school with my younger sister, complete with homemade lessons and tests, grades, stickers for her successes and, of course, going to the treasure box! As I got older, I was able to help out and teach in Children’s Church. I worked with ages from the babies in the nursery all the way to fifth grade. I’m not sure what my favorite ages would be, but my favorite attributes of children are their energy, vulnerability, and sense of humor. I also like that they are very honest because, if we are being honest with ...
