Volunteer Programs – CBM Intern Highlight

By CBM National Intern, Justin Rorex

Salutations! Hey guys, CBM National intern Justin here. Since I started the internship back in September 2014, God has been blowing me away. What I thought was a ministry dedicated just to summer camp, God has shown me is so much more. As Ada said, “they can’t do camp the whole time.” While one of CBM’s main focuses is summer camp, there is a lot more to the year-round ministry aspect that not a lot of people see. Over the next few weeks, I hope you start to see the full spectrum of CBM through our (the interns’) stories.

One thing that has really stood out to me was CBM’s Volunteer Program. God doesn’t call everyone to be a full-time missionary, but He does give everyone unique abilities. The Volunteer Program gives people the opportunity to use their God-given gifts and abilities to serve others and impact the Kingdom. I have seen a small group of people accomplish amazing things. They give because God gave first.

Well, that’s about all the time I have for this week. Hope you guys enjoyed your sneak peek of my life as an intern with CBM. You guys will hear from me again in a couple weeks! God Bless!
