Burdened for Others
By Greg Burton
We had a party at our home in London to both celebrate my 50th birthday (no comments please) and also to celebrate our family being in London for 1 year! More than a few times that night I stood back and marveled at the Lord's provision as the room was filled with friends that just one year ago we hadn’t even met! There were neighbors, home school families, guys I coach with, church friends, and others whom, in just one year, we had broken bread with, laughed with, cried with, and built relationships with. But what moves us the most are the friends in our home that night who do not follow Jesus.

Levels of Flexibility
By Erin Miller, Team #11
For me, being flexible is very important. I didn’t realize it until recently but I am constantly needing to be flexible. I am not talking about when you exercise. I am talking about when your plans change without warning and you have roll with it. Whether it means fixing something for dinner at the last minute or changing plans most of the day, due to a change in weather–all types of flexibility are important and the better you are with change, the better you will be with spur of the moment kind of things. It is just part of being flexible.

Reality of a Missionary Prayer Life
By Maria VanDerDecker
Prayer has been difficult lately. You know, we all have those days when our prayer life isn't what we want it to be. Or those weeks, or months (or, to be honest, a whole year). Me too. Now before you freak out because this is your missionary saying this, let me assure you, I'm a real person too. If we could dispel that “missionaries are super-spiritual” myth, that'd be great. Prayer is hard sometimes for missionaries too.
I have a good friend who knows I struggle with prayer sometimes. She does too. And we both encourage each other to keep going, that it is really worth it, that it is hard and we ...
In All Things, Trust God
By Gracie Kinsey
God is good, all the time, and all the time God is good. My name is Gracie Kinsey and I am an intern with Children’s Bible Ministries in Townsend, TN. I am going to share with you today the ways that God has been faithful and sovereign in guiding me to the CBM internship program.
In the summer of 2014, my close friend, named Ashlee, invited me to a summer camp called Camp Gilead in Polk City, Florida. I didn’t know it at the time but Camp Gilead is currently one of many CBM camps. Timidly, but willingly, I accepted her invitation and had one of the best weeks of my life as a camper at Gilead. I was ...
Mailbox Lessons
By Barb Shearer and Liane Lindauer
What a privilege it is to grade Mailbox Club Bible lessons. If you’re not familiar with the program, allow me to explain. It is correspondence lessons that students do through the mail (‘snail mail’). They read a lesson then answer questions about it. They mail in the answer sheet, it is graded and recorded. Then they are mailed more lessons. Each course has an average of twelve lessons. Upon completion, the student gets a certificate. At our camp they also get a coupon that is good for $60 off their summer camp price! I actually did these lessons as a child, now I am blessed to grade them. We ...
