By CBM National Intern, Justin Rorex-
Hello friends! It’s Justin here! I know it has been a few weeks since you’ve heard from me, so I’m here to fill in the blanks. I have had the wonderful opportunity to work at Camp Grace (http://www.cbmcampgrace.com/). It was an amazing (hence the title)! This was my second of three rotations in my Internship with CBM National. God has placed me in some wonderful situations and taught me so much over the past few months. I’m excited to see what else He has in store for my life.
Anyway, back to Camp Grace…I had an absolutely wonderful time. I got to work with an incredible staff, make some lifelong friendships, and seeing God work in amazing ways. Since God has put the desire in my heart to become a Camp.Program Director, I got the opportunity to work under Brent Woodard (who is moving to CBM’s Camp Ozone, 15 miles from Crossville, TN, on May 22nd to be the.Executive Director). He has been doing programming for about 10 years and does a terrific job. He knows all about the ins and outs of the job and was able to share some of his vast knowledge with me.
Another unique opportunity that I got to be a part of was teaching Bible lessons using animals. This is something that I had heard of a few of CBM’s camps doing, but had personally never gotten to witness it. It blew my mind how it captures the kids’ attention. Once you bring out the animals, the kids focus on nothing but you and the animal. I fell in love with this method of teaching and will definitely be taking this with me wherever God places me.
Well, my time is up once again. I hope you got a little insight into the past few months of my life. I am happy to announce that God has placed me at Cornerstone Ministry Center in southwest PA (http://www.cbmswpa.org/) for the summer! I am super excited to see and be a part of this ministry. I want to thank all of you for your prayers; God has been and will keep working in my life.
Thank you all, God Bless!
