Coping With Rush Hour

I don’t like traffic. It makes me nervous, all those cars and trucks racing down the highway trying to get to their destination. So how do I deal with the craziness and stress?  I have learned to engage my mind in something totally unrelated to work, home or the traffic. This is my time to have time with God. That might seem odd.  But it is time I can talk to him, and listen. By concentrating on Him, I can relax and not get my feelings caught up in the rush. Share God’s Love on Valentine’s Day!

Over the Christmas break I had the privilege of visiting one of our senior veteran missionaries who lives in an assisted living home in Florida. While walking through the halls with Miss Anne we stopped to visit one of her dear friends with whom she visits weekly and sometimes daily to talk to. You see, her friend can no longer communicate in an audible voice but she can communicate with her eyes. Her eyes light up when Miss Anne entered the room and said hello. God Loves Me

The other day I was thinking about the many blessings which God has given to me. The biggest blessing is understanding that God gave His only Son to die for my sin. I’m so thankful that He knows me to the core and still loves me. “Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, Thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid Thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too ...

John 14:26 tells us that the Father will send the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, who "will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." John 16:13-14 also talks about the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.   Sin has so affected us ...

Are You Ready to Set Goals? Will you ask?

Are you ready for another new year? Are you planning on making resolutions for the New Year? It is the perfect time to start fresh by setting goals for some spiritual growth. We cannot cause our own spiritual growth. Only the Holy Spirit has the power to cause spiritual growth (2 Corinthians 3:18) but God does expect our obedient and active cooperation (I Cor. 9:24-27). Ask God to guide you as you evaluate your spiritual health and set your goals for spiritual growth for 2012. “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding ...
