A New Adventure
By Ryan Everritt, CBM National Intern –
Throughout my time here at Cornerstone Ministry Center, though it’s only been a month, I’ve been learning how to work really hard. Sometimes, I just want to work the way I like to, but it is a new experience to learn from a different perspective. My time here as an intern has been a learning experience. And it’s only the “half-end” of the year-long internship. Let me put it this way: Team 8 started in January, which means June is the half-way point. So, this month is the end of the first half of the program (the “half-end”), transitioning to the second half of the internship, which will end in December.
Though I have my struggles, I know that God is the one who always helps me through it all. And I am grateful for all that He has done for me, both in the past and in the present. Currently I am learning from Moriah, a missionary at Cornerstone, about how to be a true man. I believe this is something that God has been teaching me for about three years now but it has just recently dawned on me. I do not know what God has for me in the future, for that I will trust Him. For all the men out there, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)
It won’t be long before I and my good friends and fellow interns, from both Teams 7 and 8, all ten of us, will be going to Honduras in two months. This will be a great experience and adventure for me. To go out to a new place I’ve never been to, to experience what it’s like, and to do missionary work there. This is going to be great, the adventure awaits.
