The other day I saw a church sign that read, "Worry is the darkroom in which negatives develop." How true that is!
Francis Chan, in his book Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God , made this statement: "Worry implies that we don't quite trust that God is big enough, powerful enough, or loving enough to take care of what is happening in our lives. Stress says that the things we are involved in are important enough to merit our impatience, our lack of grace toward others, or our tight grip of control." Hope for the Children
One of the girl’s at Mrs. Senio’s club really encouraged me. Seven year-old Jessa came to club every single day. She was always eager to learn both the Bible and the missionary stories and answer questions. However, her favorite thing at Summer Bible Club was the memory verses. Each day, she was so exicted when we taught the new verse. At the beginning of each club, she said the verse, from memory, with a smile. I could see the pure joy in her eyes. Jessa taught me that memorizing God’s Word should not just be something that I feel I have to do, but something that I should take joy in doing. This came to us through our Maryland CBM area. ...
