PRE-FIELD MISSIONARY

TRAINING PROGRAM

In late 2017, the CBM National Directors saw the need for the Pre-Field (PF) Missionaries to have ongoing
encouragement and accountability through the support raising process, which can be daunting and discouraging,
but also extremely rewarding and a blessing for both the missionary and the eventual supporter(s).

The Lord has truly grown and blessed this program since it began!

The Pre-Field Missionary who is accepted into this program serves the ministry on a part-time basis while
raising their personal financial support on a part-time basis. Their schedule is managed by the National
Directors. Their part-time service takes place at a CBM Area or at the CBM HQ. For most of the CBM Areas,
once a PF Missionary reaches 75% of their support goal, they can move to the Area where God has called them
and begin working there full-time while finishing their support raising. This structure has been a great benefit to
CBM as a whole, as well as to the missionaries. There is strong evidence to support the need for this program,
as each of the graduates thus far has been able to complete their support raising in anywhere from 4-13 months,
while simultaneously being able to gain ministry experience and be a blessing to the ministry. The program
removes many of the distractions that come from raising support while living at home and working an outside
job, and we are so thankful for it!

Below are the graduates of the Pre-Field Missionary Training Program to date:

Internship Graduate of Team 1 – raised support to serve as the Camp Director at CBM of VA/
Camp Red Arrow
Ryanne Stout
Internship Graduate of Team 1 – raised support to serve as the Project Leader at CBM Project
Guatemala (Little Lambs International)
Katlyn Carney
Internship Graduate of Team 9 – raised support to begin and to serve as the Project Leader at CBM
Project Utah
Wesley Grizzard
Internship Graduate of Team 9 – raised support to serve through Facilities/Grounds at CBM of
North AL (Ponderosa Student Ministries)

CBM coached each of the above Pre-Field Missionaries one at a time at HQ. In the fall of 2020 and the spring
of 2021, CBM agreed to accept and coach two couples and three individuals. Please pray for these newly called
missionaries. Please also pray for the Lord to provide a full-time Support Coach who will be the direct point of
contact for this program, as it has grown and will continue to do so, according to His will. Praise the Lord for
continuing to call laborers into the field that is white for harvest!
