CBM CAMP UPDATES NEWLY FUNDED MISSIONARIES

Stay up-to-date about what is going on at the various CBM camps around the United States. Praise the Lord! He has provided the below workers with at least 75% of their required financial support level
in order for them to be able to serve full-time. He is good!

CAMP TA-PA-WIN-GO (CBM OF EAST TENNESSEE)
The work of CBM in east TN was started in 1943, and Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go was founded in
1948. The beautiful property has a zip line, go cart track, horse trails, pool, and more. Their
summer 2018 theme was based on Psalm 90:12. Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go’s school year ministries
include Guest Groups, Bible Correspondence Lessons, Released Time, and Community events.
Ta-Pa-Win-Go’s Released Time ministry is growing quickly, expanding into counties in VA and
KY, now reaching over 5,000 public school children/month. New This Year: Sky Swing!

In 1986 a CBM missionary, Ms. Marillyn Adams, pled guilty to teaching children God’s Word
in the public schools. It is because of this lawsuit that the current policy for CBM’s Released
Time ministry is to operate off the school property. Marillyn Adams, now with the Lord, is
quoted as saying, “If I had to go to court, I can’t think of anything else I would want to be
accused of.”

CAMP GRACE (CBM OF THE MID ATLANTIC) Camp Grace Camp Grace Moldova Mission Awaiting Assignment

In 1954 the Lumbee Indians were still an unreached people group, and a believer among them (Mrs.
Blue) asked CBM to send someone to teach the Bible to the public school children there. CBM sent
Grace Garthwaite. In 1997, 240 acres of land was given to develop into a CBM camp. The legacy
lives on as Adam Lowry, a Lumbee Indian, is currently a CBM National Intern with Team 8! Camp
Grace’s summer 2018 theme was “Survivor: Redemption Cove.” Their school year ministries include
Guest Groups, Bible Correspondence Lessons, Released Time, and Community events.

New Life Camp helped found two of CBM’s International Affiliates (IAs), Moldova Mission,
and Refugee Hope Partners. The latter is a ministry to share Christ with refugees from
all over the world who are living in a Raleigh apartment complex. Interlocking Ministries,
another of CBM’s IA’s, was founded by former New Life Camp missionaries.
Through their Camp On Campaign, God has provided funds for ten new cabins to replace outdated ones. They are also looking
forward to dining hall and chapel renovations, as the Lord provides.
