We desire for God to use this internship to raise up the next generation of world-changers – young people who seek to be awakened to their God-given gifts to change the world for His glory!APPLY MEET THE INTERN COORDINATOR INTERN YEARBOOK INTERN EXPERIENCE BLOG STATEMENT OF FAITH HANDBOOK TEACHER BIOS MISSION TRIP
The purpose of the CBM National Internship is training and equipping potential missionaries by developing their skills, helping them discover their God-given passion and purpose, and mobilizing them to achieve their potential.
CBM also desires for interns to be able to understand God’s plan for their lives and to be willing to be sent wherever He may call.
- WHAT IS INVOLVED?
To help with living expenses, CBM will provide interns with a living stipend of $300/month. Additional funds can be raised by the intern. CBM will send letters to the intern’s contact list, if the intern desires. The intern will be provided with free housing, and meals as available. Interns will also need to raise their own support for the mission trip at the end of the internship. Interns are responsible for their own transportation throughout the internship. - WHY SHOULD I APPLY?
Have you ever wondered what your next step is? Maybe you feel led to missions but don’t know how to get started. CBM’s internship is designed to help you learn about missions and discover your calling, gifts and talents. We want to help you develop those talents and equip you with what you need to be effective in ministry, wherever that may be.
Through an internship with CBM, you will bear witness to mighty works of God through young people and adults throughout the country. You will learn from seasoned leaders and highly respected Christian men and women. You will become bolder at sharing and articulating your faith. You will be used by God in more ways than you ever imagined. The Kingdom of God will be advanced through your efforts!
- WHEN DOES IT START?
Teams start in September and January of every year. Interns will work a minimum of 40 hours/week. It will be hard work, but 100% worth it. “Doing the work of an evangelist” (2 Timothy 4:5) never promised to be easy; it is a high calling. Interns experience an action-packed year of traveling: they spend 4 months at HQ and then have 3 rotations at 3 different CBM locations, where they experience ministry from the inside out. All interns will go on a mission trip after the Summer rotation to experience overseas missions.
To help the intern develop the most well-rounded view concerning full-time missions work, CBM has designed this internship to be multi-faceted, in that they will experience several CBM locations and explore what makes them unique, helping them to grasp the big picture of ministry. Interns will spend 4 months of “preparation” time at CBM’s headquarters in Townsend, TN, prior to being sent on rotations at several of CBM’s various camp ministries. The time spent on rotation will serve to help the intern build relationships with CBM missionaries while learning different approaches taken to CBM’s ministry of the Cs: Classes (Released Time and After-School Bible Clubs), Camps (Summer camps and retreats), Correspondence Lessons, Community, and Conferences.
If, at the end of the internship, the intern does feel the Lord is calling them into full-time ministry, CBM will be able to work toward placing them into an existing CBM area, assist them in starting a new CBM area, or help them go where the Lord is leading them.
