Ever since I was a little girl, I have been intrigued by missionaries! Hudson Taylor was my favorite! His passion and dedication to the Lord amazed me. However, even though I told the Lord on multiple occasions I would go overseas, He seemed to always close the door. I figured I would be like my parents, work in the secular workplace and be active in my local church. I even dreamed that maybe I could be involved in a mission that helped train missionaries. I thought, if I can’t go, maybe I could help others go! Guess what?! Many years later, He has given the opportunity to do just that! I pray that God uses me to encourage these interns, that this would be a place that helps light the fire beneath them. I have realized that my biggest ministry is not changing or growing the interns (that’s God’s job), but rather praying on behalf of them. So I pray: I pray that He would grow them, shape them, mold them and use them to build His kingdom. I also pray that He would use me in whatever way is needed to encourage and strengthen the interns in the Lord.
2 Timothy 4:2“Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage–with great patience and careful instruction.”
