He is Always Faithful

By Kira Frank, CBM National Intern –

While here at Camp Gilead, God has taught me so much. He is definitely working at this camp. One thing that He has reminded me of is His great faithfulness. Through scripture and the lives of others He has revealed this truth continually. Even in the hardest circumstances, He is still faithful. I’m so thankful for this because I can look ahead into the unknown of my future and know, no matter what awaits me, I am sure that He will always be faithful. What a blessing.

This led me to think: Why is He faithful to us, continually? I thought about this question for a few days, even though the answer may seem obvious. I have one word that answers this question. This word means so much, yet can also mean so little. LOVE.

The dictionary’s definition of love is, “an intense feeling of deep affection.” Yet, God’s love is so much more than a feeling. I cannot help but think of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 13:

“[4] Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, [5] Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; [6] Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; [7] Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

[13] And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”

His love is so deep that I cannot attain unto it. When I get a glimpse of His love, it amazes me every. single. time.

Ephesians 3:16-19 says “[17] That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, [18] may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; [19] and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.”  I’m praying harder and hoping greater, due to His unfailing love and faithfulness. I’m striving to love as He loves. After all it is the greatest.
