  • What is Camp Ozone?
Camp Ozone is a beautiful, 320 acre camp located in Rockwood, TN, just 15 minutes
from Crossville, 1 hour from Knoxville, 1.5 hours from Chattanooga, and 2 hours from
Nashville. Camp Ozone was operated as a Christian children’s camp from the 1940s-
1980s, and will soon be operating again under Children’s Bible Ministries. Camp
Ozone currently has five cabins, a director’s house, another staff house, horse
stalls and fenced pastures, a 13-acre lake (which feeds Ozone Falls, just down the
road) with fishing dock, many hiking trails, a 10-acre mountaintop clearing for
recreational activities and sports, a dining hall known as Red Fox Lodge, a
maintenance shop, an outdoor chapel overlooking the lake, and a meeting room.
  • What is Children’s Bible Ministries?

    Children’s Bible Ministries (CBM) is a non-denominational, 501c3 non-profit ministry
founded in 1935! The goal of CBM is to reach children and youth for Jesus Christ
and then minister to and disciple them through adulthood. The purpose of CBM is
teaching the Bible, evangelizing the unreached, discipling believers, including
school students and adults, encouraging and equipping them for active service for
Jesus Christ in their community, local church and on to the world.

Our ministry is known as the ministry of the 3 Cs:

Classes (Released Time Bible education during the school day, after-school Bible
Clubs, creation field trips and experiences)

Correspondence Lessons (to disciple and help children earn camp discounts)

Camp (summer camp programming, as well as school-year retreats).

Many of our areas offer two additional Cs:

Conferences (churches using the property for their God-honoring events)

Community (hosting events such as Pancake Suppers, Family Fun Days, etc).

  • What is Camp Ozone’s history?
From the 1940s to the 1980s, Camp Ozone was a Christian children’s camp owned by the
United Presbyterian Church, where many children enjoyed spending summers having fun
and learning about God. After that, the Presbytery sold it to a developer, who
later sold it to a Presbyterian Church, which is now partially selling/partially
    gifting it to CBM.
  • What is next for Camp Ozone?

Camp Ozone is a place where thousands of children will be reached with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ through CBM’s ministry of the Cs: Camps (including summer and school year retreats and events), Correspondence Lessons (Bible discipleship tools that are mailed or done online), Classes (Released Time Bible education during the school day, after-school Bible Clubs, Creation field trips and experiences), Conferences (churches using the property for their God-honoring events)!

CBM’s prayer is to partner with the surrounding communities to start Released Time programming, as well as hosting Group Ministries/Conferences.

  • How can I get involved in what God is doing through CBM at Camp Ozone?

Many hands and feet are needed to restore the property to a vibrant, functioning
camp, and we would welcome your help! Bring a church group or a group of friends
and help us get Camp Ozone off the ground! Contact Brent Woodard 865-209-5584
    or to schedule.

Currently, Children’s Bible Ministries is running a campaign to pay off the
mortgage! The Lord has now allowed us, through the generosity and faithful giving of so many stewards, to raise $115,000 toward the $200,000 purchase price! As soon as this is paid off, Camp Ozone will be able to locally incorporate. Would you pray about helping us?

THANK YOU to those who have given to this point! Please share with others who would
be interested in helping open this camp debt-free so that many thousands more
children can be reached with the gospel without the missionaries having to focus on
    paying a mortgage!

You can give at: or by making a check
payable to CBM (with Camp Ozone in the notes line) and mailing it to: 160 Bear Lodge
    Dr. Townsend, TN 37882.

Your gift is 100% tax-deductible and no administrative fees are involved.

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive
mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

CBM desires prayer warriors to partner with us in a commitment to pray for a mighty
move of God in Cumberland County (and surrounding areas)!
